I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween this past weekend! Although Halloween looked very different for most of us this year, the treats could still be the same. This was my first time hosting a Halloween party, and since my kitchen has just been completed, I was excited to create some tasty snacks! Below you will see the treats I made, and any links to recipes that I used to guide me!
1. Dessert Charcuterie Board
I created this design by myself! I was inspired by some Halloween treat posts I had seen and decided to combine a bunch to make a dessert board! You will see that I made some Witch’s Fingers out of pretzel and green candy melts, pumpkins out of strawberries and orange candy melts, and some ghosts out of the white chocolate Reese’s candies! I added a face using black gel icing! I added some white chocolate pretzels with eyes, and a few other candies for some extra color!
2. Jalapeno Mummies
I used this recipe from The Hopeless Housewife! The only thing that I changed was that I added some bacon bits to my popper filling! These were super easy, and a big hit with all of my friends. I wish I had made more!
3. Spider Cookies
For this recipe, I used this recipe from A Spicy Perspective. I did roll my cookies in sugar before I put them on the baking sheet. I don’t typically do that with my peanut butter cookies. Then I took mini Reese’s candies and placed them in the middle. Afterwards I placed the candy eyeballs on them! Now, the chocolate candy does melt fast because of the warm cookie! Once I had the eyeballs on, I put the cookies in the fridge to cool off. I was able to use black gel instead of chocolate chips for the eight legs! These are delicious and so adorable!
